Halloween
This Halloween was a little different from all the other Halloweens, I actually let the kids pick what they wanted to be this year. Hunter wanted to be a vampire. Mason wanted to be a knight, however, when he was watching me paint Hunter's face and spray his hair black he all of a sudden changed his mind and wanted to be a vampire too. As you can tell by the big frown on Mason's face he was not very excited about be a knight anymore.

Hunter's Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
I got to go with Hunter on his field trip to the pumpkin patch and the corn maze. The kids had a very fun time. Each kid got to pick a pumpkin to take home with them. After the pumpkin patch and corn maze we went to the park and had lunch. On the way home from school Hunter kept telling me, "I am so glad you came with me." It is interesting how the little things we do for children mean a lot to them.

Claire and Bryant Watch on the Side Lines
Saturday is Now Soccer Day
Hunter and Mason have started playing soccer. Hunter loves to play and is very aggressive. They have played three games and he has scored all of the goals so far. Mason, however is the youngest one on the team and only likes to play Goalie. Needless to say it has been a great way for my boys to run off some energy.

Life With Three Boys
Morning, noon, and night my boys like to wrestle and rough house with each other. A couple of years ago I always tried to stop them from wrestling each other because it was really loud and annonying to me, but it never stop. So I gave up and now we have made rules, "No biting, No pinching, No spitting, JUST WRESTLING." At my very best attempt of keeping things safe still someone always starts crying or gets mad. However, within 20 minutes of things calming down and everyone fine, they start up again. I have come to terms that boys are different than girls. However, it is still very difficult to understand why they do what they do. I do not know if I will ever fully understand the male gender, so all I can do right now is PRAY FOR A LOT OF PATIENCE!!

Mason's Birthday
Mason has to be my most unpredicable child. He told me two days before his birthday that he did not want cake for his birthday he just wanted ice cream. I then told him okay that was fine but how are you going to blow out any candles? So we compromised on an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, which he LOVED and everyone else in the family did too.

Hunter's First Day of School
I can not believe school is all ready starting. It does not seem like we really had a summer. It went by way to fast. Hunter enjoyed his first day, I asked him how his day went and he said he had fun. Then I asked him if he did any work and to my surprise he said, "Yes, first grade is easier than first!" Granted he only pulled out one sheet of paper where they reviewed some math skills.
Hunter's Birthday
Hunter's birthday was yesterday. He a great day. He woke up at 6:00am and came out of his room smiling. That is a amazing for him to be smiling when he wakes up, normally it takes him a good 30 minutes to start functioning. The first thing he asked was when he could open his presents. His Grandma Char and our family friends the Brubakers came over for dinner and cake.

Bryant and Braelyn
Swimming in Colorado
For the past week, the kids and I have been in Colorado visiting my parents. Yesterday, we went to the pool and had a blast. We ended up staying for four hours because there was so much to do. Hunter, Mason, and their cousin Devyn were jumping off the 10 foot diving board. Hunter even dove off it. I could not believe it! My brother said "they are not afraid of anything. Are they?" I guess that what comes with little competitive boys, who can not be out done by each other. Claire, Bryant, and Brealyn loved the little waterslide and the kiddie pool.

The Goodwin/Brubaker Garden
This year I decided to garden. I love to garden but I hate weeding, so my friend and I are growing one together. We are weeding together so it is not so boring. Hunter and Mason are helping some, but they are not to fond of picking the weeds either. They would rather pick the peas and eat them. We have 2 different kinds of peas, 3 different kinds of lettuce, 4 different kinds of tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, beets, spinach, onions, and beans. On the other half of the garden (which is not in the picture) we planted watermelon, cantolope, cucumbers, pumkin, basil, and dill. We just planted these 2 1/2 weeks ago so they are just tiny plant but when the get bigger I will show you.
Claire is Now Crawling
This week, Claire has figured out how to crawl on all fours. She is getting so big!!
Out on the Backhoe
Troy has been cleaning out the weeds in our yard with a bobcat, hoping he will get some landscaping done this summer. When Troy finished to come inside to clean up, Bryant stayed outside to play. When I went outside to get him and clean him up, I found him sitting in the bucket playing in the dirt. Boys and their toys!!

Like Grandpa Clinton
Bryant has to be my easiest child. Most of the time he is very laid back and easy going. He doesn't get into things (yet), he doesn't intentionally make messes (yet), he is just happy to be in our family. Several times every week when he gets tired, he goes into the playroom, turns on a movie, gets in his spiderman recliner, and goes to sleep. I think he must be related to Grandpa Clinton!!
